[10/13/20]   To all of our clients:
When you now arrive for your appointment we are making you aware we have updated and added to our health screening questions. As always if you have experienced or are experiencing any of the covid symptoms within the past 14 days you will need to please call to reschedule your appointment.
If you have traveled to one of the states on the Quarentine list within the past 14 days you will need to also call and reschedule your appointment. As we have been, we will continue to take an abundance of caution to keep our staff and clients safe and healthy. Thank you for your understanding during these challenging times. [05/30/20]   We’re excited to announce our reopening date is ‪Tuesday June 9, 2020‬!

We will be following all of the Governor’s orders and the following guidelines will be in effect:

Please come alone to your appointment. Our waiting room will be closed and we are decreasing occupancy by more than 50%. No one can accompany you to your appointment, this includes your children, unless the child is receiving the service.
We also ask that if you have multiple children receiving services, they are scheduled on different days, so that it is one child per adult.
As you arrive at the salon, please wait in your car until your stylist comes out to get you.

Please come into the salon wearing your mask. Your mask will need to stay on the entire duration of your appointment. We recommend wearing a disposable mask if possible as it may get color on it.

Please sanitize or wash your hands for 20 seconds upon entry to the salon. Your stylist will do the same.

The salon will be conducting a health screening when you enter the door, including temperature checks with a touchless thermometer. If you answer “yes” to any of the screening questions, or if you have a temperature of 100.4 or above, we respectfully will ask you to reschedule your appointment for a later date.

We will not be able to offer any beverages to our clients at this time, and ask that you not bring any beverages with you into the salon, unless it is a small bottle of water that you can leave in your purse.

If you’d like to purchase a retail product, your stylist or a receptionist will get the product(s) off our shelves for you and place it on the cash stand. We will also be trying to use contactless payments for credit cards as much as possible to minimize touch points. We WILL be accepting cash and checks as normal.

Your stylist will be getting tested this upcoming week for Covid-19 prior to starting work as recommended by the state, and will be mandated to get tested every 14 days after that. We are also mandated to wear a mask and face shield.

A few days prior to your color service, your stylist will call you to have a phone consultation to talk about what, if anything, you’ve used during the shutdown to “maintain” your color. This better prepares us for your color service that day. Please be aware that this first appointment may involve a color correction, and may require more time and product used, therefore, an increase in cost.

We will not be blow drying our clients hair until further notice. We understand this may be an inconvenience to some, however this will allow all of our stylists to accommodate as many clients as possible on the limited days each of us are at the salon. Everyone is eager to get in!

To be fair to all of our clients and to make the rebooking process run as smooth as possible, we are going back to March 17 and rescheduling those clients who had their appointments cancelled first and have been waiting the longest. We will reach out to each client in order of the date of their missed appointment(s), PLEASE do not call or text your stylist about an appointment. We cannot double book appointments due to capacity restrictions, and each stylist is only able to work a few days per week. Each stylist has over 100+ clients to rebook. This means it will take us a bit to catch up!! Please continue to be patient and know that we are doing the best that we can to be fair. This will be an adjustment period for us all!

We have missed each and everyone of you and are excited to get back to the salon to catch up! THANK YOU again for your continued loyalty and understanding. Please remember we are still abiding by the 6 foot physical distancing rule whenever possible. We’d love to give you a big hug, but for now we’ll hold off and just be glad to be seeing each other again!

[05/29/20]   Attention Clients:
We have received opening guidelines from NYS and it has been confirmed we have moved into phase 2 which salons fall under. It does not include nail services or waxing in this phase so that will not be opening at this time. We will NOT be opening next week (week of June 1) as we need this time to prepare our salon now that we have exact guidelines and start calling people to reschedule. Tomorrow we are holding a phone meeting and following that we will post this weekend our exact opening date, our schedules, as well as the guidelines we will be enforcing once we are open. Please rest assured, we will reach out to you to reschedule!! To be fair, we will be going back to the week of 3/16 to reschedule those who have missed there appointments first and go in order from there. It will look a bit different but we are following every rule to keep our staff and clients safe!
[05/26/20]   Update: We are hoping to hear this week guidelines and when phase 2 will start. We then will communicate with you all our guidelines, our date of reopen and be reaching out to schedule appointments. We will be following all state requirements following reopen. Thank you all for your continued patience!
[05/19/20]   To all of our clients
UPDATE:
We are in the process of making plans for when we are able to reopen. We also are in the process of figuring out our schedules as we will have to have decreased capacity when we reopen. It is shown we are in phase 2 right now, however we have been given no guidelines or date when we can reopen at this time. Please know your stylist or nail technician will reach out to reschedule your appointments once we have been given those two things. Things are changing everyday and we greatly appreciate your patience!

We hope you are all doing well!

An update from all of us at
Simply Chic Salon:
As of right now, we do not have any knowledge of when we will be allowed to re-open our Salon. We are as anxious as you, to get things open and start seeing Clients.
We will begin scheduling appointments as soon as we receive the go ahead to open.
When we re-open, we will be following all the guidelines sent by the State. Most likely, we will have a reduced capacity.

Please, please, please be patient with your Stylists and Nail Technician as they can’t schedule appointments right now. All Stylists/Nail Technician will review their Client books and schedule appointments accordingly.
During this time, our staff have taken multiple courses on safety/sanitation/disinfecting procedures. We always uphold the highest standards and are putting systems in place to ensure we are in compliance with all COVID-19 procedures.
We miss you all and look forward to opening our doors as soon as we possibly can!

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Simply Chic Salon will be temporarily closing, effective 3/19/2020.

It is with a heavy heart that we had to make this decision. Our employees and clients health and safety is of the utmost importance.

To all our Clients:

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we are taking the following precautionary measures at Simply Chic Salon to protect our Staff and Clients.

Please read in entirety:

Effective immediately, if you’ve traveled in the last 14 days, have any kind of sickness (even the slightest), have been around anyone with an illness or anyone who has possibly been exposed to the virus, you will need to call the Salon and reschedule your appointment as we won’t be able to assist you at this time. We will be happy to reschedule an appointment for you in the future and get you in as soon as possible.

We will be reducing the number of Stylist/Nail Technician who are working at one time and no longer double booking appointments. This will allow us to decrease the amount of people in the Salon. We ask for you to please wait in your car and when the Stylist/Nail Technician is ready for you, they will text you or come out to get you. When you arrive, we ask that you come ALONE and do not bring anyone to accompany you, this includes your children. This appointment is booked for you ALONE and again, to decrease the amount of people in the salon, we can only accommodate YOU.

When you arrive, we ask that you wash your hands for 20 seconds. We also have hand sanitizer at our front door and in several locations in the Salon.

We will no longer offer beverage service or have magazines until further notice.

Thank you for your understanding during this time as this is for the health and safety of both our employees and our clients.
